Georgia Christmas Tree Cooperative Inc

The Georgia Christmas Tree Cooperative is a Non-Profit Georgia Corporation, founded to promote the production of quality Christmas trees, share information and control cost through cooperative purchasing.

If you're engaged in Christmas tree production or marketing in the state of Georgia or any of the surrounding states, you should be a member of this organization. For more information or to join the co-op, send us an email.

Any person engaged in the Christmas tree industry can be approved for associate membership without regard for geographical location. The voting membership is limited to individuals or farms located in the state of Georgia which are engaged in the growing of Christmas trees or who support the goal of improving Christmas Trees.

Members and Associate Members benefit equally from the purchasing power of the co-op.

The co-op holds a spring and fall meeting. The spring meeting is held at Christmas tree farms all around Georgia. Farm chemicals are distributed at this meeting. The 2008 fall meeting will be at Sugarland Christmas tree Farm in Stockbridge, GA. This is the big distribution for tree stands, bailer netting, bamboo, colorant and other items. When only one member orders an item, we don't save much. Our savings are on items that we all use and our order is large. Cooperative purchasing saves on both the unit cost and transportation cost.

The current membership dues are $40. This amount is evaluated each year and adjusted, so that it just covers the operating expenses of the co-op.
